Air New Zealand was once one of the better airlines for official postcards. I managed to pick up a few myself on my travels, and a few were sent by thoughtful pals.

Here are just a few postcards, along with a couple of public relations images and my own original photographs.

In the late 1960s, Boeing began conceptualizing a new aircraft that could carry significantly more passengers than its existing models. The idea was to create a high-capacity, long-range airliner to meet the growing demand for air travel. Boeing's chief engineer, Joe Sutter, led the design team, which aimed to build a revolutionary aircraft that would change the face of commercial aviation.
